I live in the great state of Alabama and that is where all the custom knives are created. I started out on Instagram as a collector. I then started doing modifications on my own knives, ruining most. Eventually, got good enough to offer it as a service. The money went towards my collection. Eventually got tired of modifying knives. Tried making my first folder without any real tools but with no success. I sold part of my collection, made money from modifications, etc to buy a belt grinder, mini mill, and much more. Consistently failed and trying to make a folding knife. With about 8-12 months of failure, I finally succeeded. Late nights for about a year of consistently failing, working from the time I got home from my full time job until 10pm-1am, I was determined to get it right. Eventually, I succeeded with lots of help from some great guys/makers. I still collect knives, my Instagram name is @edc.alabama where I post my collection pictures. So it’s pretty cool to come from same spot you guys are in (and still in it) to now. I’ve taken the jump from part time maker to full time maker and I’m never looking back.
All my custom knives are hand made by me. Nobody else but me. When you order a custom knife, I make sure it’s up to my standards because it’s my name on the blade. I hope you love your knife as much as I enjoy making them. I’m not some big company cranking out thousands of knives a year. It’s just me making each one. One at a time. One by one. Each one is unique in it’s own way.
